ಯುವತಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕರಣವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಪಿಗೆ 10 ವರ್ಷ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ ಗದಗದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದೆ.

ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು 7 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಇದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಆರೋಪ ಸಾಬೀತಾದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಇಂದು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದೆ.

ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗಜೇಂದ್ರಗಡದ ಗುರುರಾಜ ನಿಂಗಪ್ಪ ಚವ್ಹಾಣ ಎಂಬಾತನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ತೀರ್ಪು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಈತ ಇದೇ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಲಂಬಾಣಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಯುವತಿಯೊಬ್ಬಳ ಮೇಲೆ 2017ರ ಮೇ 16 ರಂದು ರಾತ್ರಿ 11 ಗಂಟೆ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಜೀವ ಬೆದರಿಕೆಯೊಡ್ಡಿ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದ. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಮದುವೆ ಆಗುವುದಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿಸಿ ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ.

ಮೋಸ ಹೋದ ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತ ಯುವತಿಯು ಗಜೇಂದ್ರಗಡ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ದೂರು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ದೂರಿನ ಅನ್ವಯ ತನಿಖೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡ ಅಂದಿನ ಸಿಪಿಐ ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ಬೀಳಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆ.ಸಿ.ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಅವರು ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಆರೋಪಿ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಇದೀಗ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆರೋಪ ಸಾಬೀತಾದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಪಿಗೆ 10 ವರ್ಷ ಜೈಲು ಹಾಗೂ 13 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಿ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ತೀರ್ಪು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಸರಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸವಿತಾ ಶಿಗ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದರು.

Gadag:- The Principal District and Sessions Court of Gadag has issued an order on Monday sentencing the accused to 10 years imprisonment in a case of raping a young woman.

This is a case of approximately 7 years ago, and the court announced the sentence today after the charges were proved.

The court has sentenced Gururaja Ningappa Chavan of Gajendragad in the district. On May 16, 2017, he raped a young woman from the Lambani community of the same village at 11 o'clock at night, threatening her life. Apart from that, he had cheated believing that he would get married.

The young victim who was cheated filed a complaint at the Gajendragad police station. The then CPI S.S. Belagi and K.C. Prakash, who took up the investigation based on the complaint, completed the investigation and submitted the charge sheet against the accused to the court.

Now the accused has been sentenced to 10 years in jail and 13 thousand rupees after the charges have been proven. The court has given a verdict by imposing a fine.
